Heston & Natasha's Surprise Engagement

Like any normal birthday, Natasha woke up showered in love, gifts and well wishes, but little did she know she had an extra surprise on its way later that day. Melissa, Natasha's sister got in contact with me a few weeks prior mentioning that Heston wanted to propose to Natasha. Heston wanted to make the whole proposal extra special by capturing the moments which not only lead up to the proposal but the whole proposal itself, that's where I came in! Melissa, Heston and I planned the proposal down to the very last detail with secret phone calls and late night messages to make sure we didn't slip up! Natasha knew she was having a photoshoot on her birthday (which was why it was no surprise I was there) but thought we were having a family session! The day came and we hiked a short while in heels and dresses to this remote location in a stunning woods in Hertfordshire! (beautiful, don't you think)

We had to lure her in!

Now, I was told that Natasha is very good at guessing what is going on, she has what we like to call that 'sixth sense', so we had to convince her that this was just any normal family photoshoot. We started off with some lovely family photos, but began the surprise proposal with a distraction! I brought my trusty whiteboard with me and asked Natasha write down her favourite things about Heston in a secret "reveal"... she had no idea what we were planning!

She couldn't have predicted this

With a secret ring swap between Heston and I, he grabbed the ring and popped it in his pocket! Whilst we distracted Natasha behind Heston with the whiteboard I grabbed a few snaps of Heston holding the stunning diamond engagement ring! He held the ring in his hand until the crucial moment began.

one, two, three... turn!

She said yes!

In utter shock Natasha said yes! Dropping the whiteboard on the floor and gasping for joy! She had absolutely no idea what we were planning and swung her arms around Heston. He gently put the ring on her finger with a beaming smile and began to explain to her all the planning we had been doing! But the surprise didn't end there, Melissa and Heston had planned a gorgeous afternoon tea with scones, champagne and a few extra treats to seal the deal!
