Doorstep Portraits
So the lockdown of 2020 kept families, friends and loved ones apart. It was a tough time, months of home schooling, re-learning how to do mathematical equations, working from home all whilst being stay at home parents for 24 hours a day! You may have established a new fitness regime, or perhaps you've explored every corner of your fridge. If we had a chance, would we go back to change anything? No chance.
These doorstep portraits were the perfect way to commemorate the 2020 lockdown. Family portraits at your doorstep, a chance for everyone to get dressed up, feel normal for a day and capture some fantastic memories. So much better than answering the door to the Amazon delivery driver for the 12th day in a row!
Lockdown was the excuse we needed to stay together, create some memories, slow things down a little and appreciate family time, in the strangest of circumstances!
I feel so lucky to have photographed so many wonderful families and listening to all your stories about lockdown nightmares and funny nights in. How you're missing Nana and Gramps, how the dog skydived from the top of the stairs because she heard food being poured into her bowl. Even how you learnt to make cakes, treats and put rainbows in your windows and much more!
The ups and downs of lockdown really has brought us closer together.
Thank you to everyone who booked a doorstep session with me during the lockdown! It really was such a fun experience meeting you all!
